Role Overview
Staff will receive ongoing training and development across a wide range of in‑house courses, offering respiratory competencies in caring for and delivering CPAP/NIV and various other lung conditions. We are affiliated with the University of Bradford and offer fully funded support for registered nurses to undertake the postgraduate Advanced Respiratory Care module at BSc or MSc level, with many staff continuing to work towards the PG Cert in Advanced Clinical Practice. The post is an integral part of a multi‑disciplinary team which contributes to the effective and economic use of available resources.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision and teach junior staff, both qualified and unqualified.
* Take charge of a ward or department when designated.
* Assess, plan, implement and assist with the evaluation of individual programmes of care for the acutely ill medical patient.
* Offer advice and support to the patient's families and friends responding to their individual needs.
* Communicate with all members of the multi‑disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care.

Development Opportunities
