The role
A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Section Engineer to support delivery on a major water treatment upgrade in the East Midlands. This is a key role on a high-profile scheme, offering long-term work on a technically challenging project.
The Role
As Section Engineer, you will take ownership of utility and infrastructure works packages across the site, ensuring safe,pliant, and efficient delivery. You will also act as a key link between subcontractors and the design team, ensuring clearmunication and coordination of technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day control of direct labour and subcontractors delivering HV/LV, water, drainage andmunications (BT) infrastructurePreparation of work package plans, task briefings, RAMS and permitsCoordination of traffic management and material procurementManagement of site inductions, setting out, QA documentation and as-built recordsOverseeing inspections, snagging and qualityplianceActing as a principal point of contact between Project Managers, site teams and client stakeholdersBridgingmunication between subcontractors and the design team to resolve technical queries and ensure alignmentAbout You
Proven experience as a Section Engineer or Senior Engineer or Agent within infrastructure or water projectsStrong understanding of utilities coordination and multidisciplinary deliveryExperience managing subcontractors and site teamsAbility to liaise effectively with design teams and resolve on-site engineering issuesStrong knowledge of health & safety standards, permits, and RAMS
