Key Stage 1 SEND Teaching Assistant (Full Time, Temporary)
Northumberland, Bedlington area
£444.60 - £465.00 per week (depending on salary and experience)
September 2025 – April 2026
The School and Role
We are looking for a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming primary school in Bedlington, Northumberland. Working as part of an professional and friendly team, the desired Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant will be supporting in both Year 1 and Year 2, and will be specifically employed to deliver one to one support to children with SEND. The successful Teaching Assistant will also be expected to deliver some intervention support to small groups of pupils who require additional support during literacy and numeracy. The role would be Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm. This school has recently been rated as ‘good’ by Ofsted, and is praised for creating an inclusive learning environment.

The desired Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant will have;
* Experience of working with primary school aged children
* Experience of working with pupils with SEND
* A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
* An ability to work as part of a team
