We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join our supportive team, working across a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) setting. This highly rewarding role focuses on supporting pupils aged 11–16 with complex emotional, social, and behavioural needs—ideal for someone who is driven to help young people overcome barriers and rediscover their potential.
The Role
In this role, you will collaborate closely with teachers and specialist staff to create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment. You will:
* Support pupils with their learning, behaviour, and emotional development
* Plan and deliver tailored interventions for individuals or small groups
* Apply effective behaviour-regulation strategies that align with school policies
* Monitor and record pupil progress, achievements, and areas for improvement
* Build strong, trusting, and professional relationships with young people and staff
Your work will play a crucial part in helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience supporting young people with SEMH needs or working within youth offending or alternative provision
* Is resilient, empathetic, and committed to making a positive difference
* Works confidently both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle (travel between sites is essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
