Principal building inspector

Manchester
The Annoying Recruiter
Building inspector

Offer description

Moving up to Director and making this region a success is already going to happen. The question is, will it be you that takes advantage of the progression?

You'd step into a business with a strong presence in the North West, now they need someone like you to lead. Your only tasks are to manage the work and the growth of the team.

You'll have plenty of existing clients that your new employer has worked with for years. Even more new ones are being won by a Business Development team already. They'll do all of the client growth for you, so you can focus on delivery.

The jobs are local, so even though you'd be fairly hands on at the start you'll be home in time for tea. In fact you'll have loads of freedom to do the job how you think is best and to work when is best for you.

There's no reason to be in the office more than one day a week. Even when you're managing a team, they'll all come in on the same day then work from home and flexibly for the rest of the week.

It'll be assumed that you're a professional who knows how to look after your workload, so you won't feel like you're under a microscope, or pressured to show up at any particular time.

In fact they respect your time so much, that for every three RBI’s they hire one admin, so you can do more of what’s important.

There’s a clear, easy path to becoming a director without competition. You’ll be in charge of a busy, thriving region with plenty of support around you.

From day one 2% - 3% of your salary is given every quarter as a bonus. That’s £4000 - £5000 annually in addition to your salary. It’ll easily pay those holiday installments, or a mortgage off 10 years early without you dipping into your usual salary.

What you’ll do

* Lead the service delivery in your region, by managing the workload yourself and growing and leading the team asap.
* You’ll oversee a mix of plan checking, site inspections and other advisory / consultancy services.
* There’s also an option to get involved in building regulations consultancy and advisory if that interests you.
1. What you’ll need

* BSR Registered Class 2F.
* Experience working directly with / advising clients.
* Confident reading plans and carrying out site inspections
* You don't need to already be management level or an Associate to get this job.

About the company

A growing building control consultancy with around 110 staff, one that you may not have heard of. They’re very consultative and visible in the market, now looking to hand over a North West Region to a competent manager. You’ll play a key part in managing and leading the workload in your area.

Don’t worry if your CV isn’t up to date or if you can’t apply right now. Send your old CV or instead message Matt Kirk on LinkedIn or show him your LinkedIn profile. We’ll take it from there.
