Job Duties:
* Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
* Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students
* Help students with their learning and development, including personal care if required
* Support students during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
* Work collaboratively with the teaching staff and other professionals to create a positive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
* SEN Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience
* Valid DBS check
Education:
GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working with children with special educational needs
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of SEN strategies and techniques
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
* Higher level teaching assistant (HLTA) qualification
* First aid certification
Working Conditions:
* Typical school hours, Monday to Friday
* Work within a classroom setting
* Potential requirement to assist with outdoor activities or school trips

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
