The Role: As a Removals HGV 2 Driver, you will take full ownership of the company vehicle and ensure that every client's possessions are transported safely and efficiently. You'll be responsible for the complete journey 3 from initial loading through to final delivery 3 maintaining exceptional standards throughout. Driving & Logistics: Safe operation of Category C vehicles, ensuring all loads comply with Road Traffic Legislation and vehicle operating limits. Hands-on Removals: Actively assist with packing, loading, and unloading furniture and goods with care and attention to detail. Vehicle Care: Perform daily safety checks (oil, water, etc.) and maintain the vehicle in a clean, professional condition at all times. Compliance: Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and ISO9002 quality procedures, while maintaining your Driver CPC qualification. Documentation: Manage all vehicle logs and delivery paperwork accurately, ensuring complete records for every journey. Leadership: Oversee subordinates to ensure high standards are met and suggest improvements to the Operations Controller regarding loading efficiency. Requirements: We're looking for experienced professionals who understand the unique demands of removals work and can deliver exceptional service on every job. The ideal candidate combines technical driving expertise with practical removals experience and outstanding customer care. Licensing: A valid HGV 2 / Category C licence and an up-to-date CPC qualification are essential requirements. Experience: Proven background in removals or relocations is essential. We need drivers who understand the intricacies of moving household goods. Stamina: Must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and handling furniture safely throughout long working days.
