Our production facility located near the village of Thorganby between York and Selby is partly powered by AD, Renewable heat and solar PV. We are an onsite team of approx. 60.
The purpose of the Engineer role is to ensure timely and effective installation and maintenance of machinery, and the production facility to enable efficient operations.
Responsibilities
* Carry out mechanical and electrical work – both reactive and planned/preventative
* Be able to fault find on a wide range of machinery and equipment that involves electrical, mechanical and fluid power systems
* Record maintenance activities and spare parts usage to ensure full traceability
* Work to departmental KPIs
* Support continuous improvement
* Prioritise safety and uphold high standards/take pride in work
* Work continuously towards Hartley’s culture of Performance.

* To adhere to all health and safety rules on site and in the fields, with all accidents and near misses reported as they occur
* Note. the Engineering team work on a rotating shift pattern
Qualifications and Competencies
* Apprentice trained to at least level 3 or other relevant qualifications/experience
* Experience within the food and drink industry (desirable)
* Can work well both independently and within a team, fostering positive relationships
* Ability to work under pressure
* Strong problem solver with a growth mindset
