At Whytematter Staffing Solutions, we’re proud to partner with one of Northern Ireland’s most ambitious and award-winning marketing agencies to find a strategic, commercially driven Digital Performance & Planning Director.
This is a key senior hire for the agency — an exciting opportunity for a digital leader who thrives on turning data into direction, insight into impact, and performance into progress.
You’ll work across media, strategy, analytics, and innovation, helping shape the agency’s performance-led offering and drive commercial growth for both clients and the agency itself.
The Role:
You’ll lead cross-functional teams in developing innovative, data-informed media strategies that deliver tangible outcomes. From shaping pitch-winning proposals to setting campaign KPIs and building robust attribution models, you’ll be the strategic brain behind high-impact digital and offline campaigns.
Core Responsibilities:
4. Lead strategy, planning, and implementation of cross-channel media campaigns aligned to commercial outcomes.
5. Define clear KPIs, forecast ROI, and develop attribution and measurement models.
6. Make smart media spend decisions and continuously optimise performance.
7. Stay ahead of martech innovations, digital compliance, and media trends.
8. Design A/B and multivariate testing frameworks and interpret results.
9. Present actionable insights to internal teams and client stakeholders.
What Youll Bring:
10. Minimum 7 years’ experience in a senior performance or media strategy role, ideally in an agency.
11. Strong understanding of digital and traditional media platforms and how they integrate with analytics and tracking tools.
12. Proven expertise in ROI modelling, forecasting, and performance measurement.
13. Confidence working directly with clients, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
14. Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into commercial strategy.
Desirable Skills:
15. Experience beyond the NI market and/or Ecommerce familiarity.
16. Proficiency with platforms like Kantar, Nielsen, Dynata.
17. Working knowledge of A/B testing tools (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize).
Who You’ll Work With:
18. Reporting directly to the MD and working closely with the senior agency leadership team.
19. Collaboration with Client Services, Media, and Creative departments.
