Salary: £95 - £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Full-Time / Temporary to Permanent

Are you passionate about supporting children in education? Do you have experience working in schools and the confidence to lead classroom learning? A welcoming rural primary school near Penzance is looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is ready to take on more responsibility, develop their skills, and make a real impact. Full training will be provided for the right applicant.
Due to the rural location, a full UK driving licence and access to transport is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-planned lessons to whole classes during teacher absence or PPA cover
Provide small group or 1:1 support for pupils, particularly those with additional needs
Collaborate with teachers to support learning and track pupil progress
Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement across all year groups
Help maintain a warm, inclusive classroom environment that reflects the school’s community values
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working in a UK primary school
Be confident leading class-based learning activities when needed
Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills
Be proactive, flexible, and committed to pupil development
Hold a full driving licence (preferred) due to limited transport links
Be open to training and professional development – training provided for the right applicant
