The Role
We seek an enthusiastic Research Administrator to support research activities within the Partnership for Workforce Sustainability, funded by the NIHR Health and Social Care Delivery Research programme. The partnership involves multiple universities and aims to address NHS workforce challenges by collaborating with policymakers and healthcare professionals.
The post involves supporting project management, governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with the research team, partners, and funding bodies.
This is a full-time, fixed-term role until 28 February 2030, starting after 01 June 2025.

Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the Partnership leads, Operations Manager, and research team in daily activities.
2. Developing and maintaining efficient office procedures and systems.
3. Establishing reporting systems for research management information.
4. Providing administrative support for meetings, including arranging, drafting agendas, and taking minutes.
5. Being the first point of contact for inquiries from project partners and stakeholders.
6. Supporting the Partnership's online presence and research space.
7. Representing the Partnership at meetings and events.
8. Organizing regional and national events, workshops, and community engagement activities.
9. Arranging travel and accommodation for research activities.
10. Managing databases, data entry, and ensuring data quality.
11. Supporting research team with confidential information management in compliance with governance and data protection legislation.
12. Overseeing invoices and expense claims, and liaising with finance teams for budget monitoring.
13. Supporting procurement processes and resolving related queries.
14. Assisting with other administrative matters related to research activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Experience working independently and handling unforeseen problems.
* Excellent communication and administrative skills.
* Experience supporting meetings in various formats.
* Experience managing email lists and developing administrative systems.
* Financial monitoring experience and ability to interpret financial data.
* Experience with databases, research systems, and report drafting.
* Knowledge of NIHR-funded research, healthcare research settings, and NHS workforce policies is advantageous.

Qualifications
