Overview
Established in 2000, Modern Networks are a growing IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Internet Service Provider (ISP) specialising in providing services to the property management sector and commercial businesses nationwide. We work closely with our customers to deliver a wide range of IT services from endpoint technology to connectivity and telephony. We partner with market leading providers to deliver first class services and solutions.
Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver projects of varying scale, from entire IT infrastructure managed services (including Data Cabling, Connectivity, Wireless Solutions, Hosted Telephony and Desktop Services) to smaller projects such as onboarding sites with a small number of users.
* Handle projects including Termination of Services / Change in Managing Agents, New Internet Services & DAAS refreshes.
* Operate predominantly in the field; cover London and surrounding counties with UK-wide customer base, focusing on London, Birmingham and Manchester.
What we’re looking for
* A seasoned generalist, with a solid understanding of hardware, software, networking and operating systems - bonus points if you've got that experience within an MSP environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 services and email services.
* Familiarity with Intune, including Device Management, Conditional Access Policies, and Autopilot.
* Knowledge of SharePoint Online, Teams setup, and Microsoft Azure administration.
* Experience with hosted telephony systems and Windows Server, including GPO, AD, File Servers, and other server roles.
* Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server etc).
* Basic networking knowledge covering DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN, Routing, VPN, and WAN.
* Interest and exposure to security, including firewalls and Windows security for servers and workstations.
* You're a people person - we are looking for charismatic engineers with amazing customer services skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
