Operating in a fast paced and highly technical environment, you will lead the delivery of production ready manufacturing solutions that underpin strategic business growth. You will manage the Composites NPI & Winding Manufacturing Engineering Team, driving product maturity, tooling development, process innovation and readiness for manufacture. You will influence design solutions for existing and future aircraft platforms, while developing cutting edge composite manufacturing techniques. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the Composites NPI & Winding Manufacturing Engineering Team - Drive product maturity and the development of composite components - Deliver New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and ensure Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) progression - Lead process innovation, improvements and industrialisation - Design and develop tooling, jigs and fixtures to support new parts and processes - Create detailed CAD models and drawings for tooling and components - Specify, source, install and commission CAPEX manufacturing equipment - Lead PFMEA activities - Generate and maintain standard operating procedures and supporting documentation - Produce manufacturing reports, data and technical communication - Conduct effective root cause analysis and implement corrective actions - Support bids for future business opportunities, including cost estimates and timelines - Capture and deploy lessons learned across projects But what else?
