Site & Service Machine Tool Design & PLC Support Engineer
to join their expanding team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in both supporting existing machinery and driving forward the company's growing retrofit division.
?? The Role
Provide site-based and service support to diagnose and correct
electrical and PLC software issues
on machine tools.
Work with machine tool control systems and drives, including
Heidenhain, Siemens, and Fanuc .
Back up control system software using various PC packages.
Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of
electrical systems and PLC software .
Retrofit projects: design and installation of
new electrical panels and updated CNC systems .
Interrogate, modify, and write PLC software (with emphasis on
Heidenhain 620/640 controls ).
?? Qualifications & Experience Required
? Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
? Hands-on experience with both
manual and CNC milling machinery .
? Ability to read and interpret
electrical and hydraulic schematics .
? Basic mechanical and hydraulic knowledge with strong practical ability.
? Experience in
electrical drafting
and
PLC software writing .
? NVQ or higher in an Engineering subject (preferred).
