Job Overview
We are excited to offer a Permanent Arboricultural Project Manager (Highways) position within our Scottish Grounds Maintenance team in Scotland. This full-time role involves working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
1. Manage woodland and Ash Dieback projects across Scotland, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
2. Collect and analyze data on tree and woodland assets, collaborating with GIS and data teams.
3. Develop and implement operational delivery programmes, monitor progress, and manage risks.
4. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and woodland management plans.
5. Perform professional tree inspections and vegetation surveys as needed.

Candidate Requirements
* Experience in project management and data analysis in arboriculture or forestry.
* Strong analytical, operational, and communication skills.
* Proficiency with GIS/Asset Management software.
* Knowledge of thinning and felling methodologies, especially mechanized solutions.
* Ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Environmental Science, or related. Higher National Diploma considered.
* Current or committed to attaining Lantra Professional Tree Inspection certification.
* Experience on trunk road maintenance contracts or similar roles is desirable.
