Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support a small team of Health Physics Monitors during graphite core inspection, sampling and maintenance activities
* Ensure all radiological protection standards and site safety procedures are strictly always adhered to
* Act as a working supervisor, providing on-the-job guidance while maintaining high personal performance standards
* Deliver training, coaching, and mentoring to develop team capability and ensure consistent best practice
* Interface effectively with EDF and client personnel, fostering strong working relationships and clear communication on safety and operational matters
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory and company requirements
* Provide timely and clear reporting to the Health Physics Package Manager, highlighting performance, issues, and improvements
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and team performance
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in Health Physics within the nuclear industry, ideally in reactor or outage environments
* Previous supervisory or team‑leading experience
* Strong knowledge of UK radiological protection standards and site licence requirements
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and client representatives
* Demonstrable commitment to safety culture and human performance principles
* Experience in training, mentoring, and developing personnel
* Ability to work under pressure in a highly regulated environment
* Experience working on graphite core inspection or similar reactor‑based projects
* Relevant Health Physics qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds Radiation Safety Practice or equivalent)
* Familiarity with EDF systems and processes
