We are recruiting an experienced Quality Inspector for a growing precision company based in Dorking. They operate fabrication, CNC, and assembly workshops across three sites. The ideal candidate is a diligent, skilled, and organised inspector with a solid understanding of precision machining and a passion to develop and grow.
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
* Employing good practice to verify quality of products
* Goods in inspection
* First off inspections
* In flow inspection
* Final inspection of components
* Maintain all health and safety disciplines
* Willingness to participate in improvement activities across the business
* Assist in problem solving when issues arise
* Must embrace change and be willing to adopt new skills to support all areas of the business
* To be flexible in a small team-oriented environment
Skills and Experience
* Experience in using the following equipment: Various hand-held instruments including micrometers, DTIs, verniers, Trimos, shadowgraph, Surtronic, Laser Mic.
* Experience of operating CMMs & programming using PC-DMIS would be an advantage.
* An excellent understanding of technical drawings and GD&T
* Experience working to ISO quality systems
* Familiar with documenting processes & standards
* Familiar with kaizen & problem-solving methods
* Must possess a positive can-do attitude
* Must have the ability to work without supervision
* Must be able to work with others in a small team environment
* Must be prepared to undertake all reasonable requests as determined by the business needs
* Strong organisational & housekeeping standards, experience of working with 5S methodology an advantage
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday 7am-4.30pm, Friday 7am-12pm
