Your new role
As Asset &pliance Lead, you will be the organisation’s lead officer for propertypliance, asset management and building safety, with responsibility for ensuring homes and buildings remain safe,pliant and fit for the future.
You will have strategic and operational ownership of the Big 6pliance areas, oversee planned works and capital investment programmes, and lead the asset data and stock condition strategy. Managing a small team and working closely with senior leaders, you will provide assurance, insight and leadership across all aspects of propertypliance and risk.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading statutorypliance across Gas, Electrical, Fire, Asbestos, Water Hygiene and Lifting Equipment, ensuring 100%pliance
2. Acting as the organisational lead for building safety andplianceernance
3. Overseeing statutory inspections, servicing, remedial works and auditablepliance records
4. Leading the planned works and capital investment programme, ensuring value for money and high‑quality oues
5. Managing asset data strategy and stock condition surveys to support evidence‑based investment decisions
6. Providing leadership on damp and mould strategy, policy development and assurance reporting
7. Producing high‑qualitypliance, asset and risk reports for senior leadership and Board‑level audiences
8. Managingpliance and planned works budgets, contracts and contractor performance
9. Line managing and developing two direct reports, building a culture of accountability and professionalism

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong technical expertise alongside confident leadership and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
You will have:
10. Proven experience in propertypliance, asset management or building safety
11. In‑depth knowledge of the Big 6pliance areas and relevant UK legislation
12. Experience delivering planned works or capital investment programmes
13. Understanding of damp and mould management and related regulatory expectations
14. Experience managing asset data, stock condition surveys or property databases
15. Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing staff
16. Excellentmunication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities
17. Experience managing budgets, contracts and external suppliers
18. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage risk inplex environments
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
19. Professional membership ( RICS, CIOB, IWFM, IFSM)
20. NEBOSH, IOSH or other health and safety qualifications
21. Experience within social housing, local authority or property services
22. Experience implementing asset management orpliance software
You will also hold a full UK driving licence and demonstrate a clearmitment to resident safety and service quality.
