Technical Author - Inorganic chemicals - UK BAT

Responsibilities
* Draft BAT Conclusions and prepare a final document suitable for publication as a new, UK‑wide environmental standard for industry.
* Liaise with Technical Working Groups and present the BAT Conclusions to stakeholders.
* Work with industry partners to ensure the BAT concept principles are applied consistently across the large volume inorganic chemicals (LVIC) sector.
* Manage project timelines and deliverables to meet UK‑wide BAT objectives.
Qualifications
* Specialist knowledge and understanding of the LVIC industry.
* Good understanding of process engineering and environmental issues.
* Good understanding of environmental legislation and policy in the UK.
* Capability of critically analysing technical arguments and data.
* Ability to write and communicate technical documents clearly.
* Strong project‑management skills and a drive to complete assignments on time.
Experience / Skills Required
* At least 5 years of working experience in the environment regulation of the LVIC industry.
* Solid understanding of UK and EU industrial environmental legislation, especially the IED and the Environmental Permitting Regulations.
* Expertise in collecting and technically analysing complex industrial data.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong relationship‑building and networking abilities.
* Ability to prioritise and organise tasks and resources to achieve timely results.
* Adaptability in responding to challenges and building consensus.
* Capacity to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and to promote equality and inclusion.
