We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be based at our Carsegate Road operation, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out assembly, repairs, and modifications
Read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs
Carry out equipment repair and maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency
Assist with vehicle assembly and disassembly processes as required
Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each vehicle
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction
Undertake heavy lifting when necessary to move parts or equipment safely within the workshop
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex vehicle issues
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, and equipment repair
Knowledge of vehicle assembly processes and maintenance procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
