Senior Legal Counsel - Insurance - Fixed Term Contract
Role: 10-12 Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Legal Director
12-month maternity cover post with a market-leading Insurance Broker, working in a team of 3 with 2 direct reports. In the position, you will provide legal advice and support to manage legal risk across the company.
Provide effective legal advice to manage legal risk across the business.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and practices in all jurisdictions affecting the business.
Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial legal agreements on behalf of the company including templates, contracts, side letters, non-disclosure, consulting, service, recruitment agency agreements, software as service agreements, IT contracts, outsourcing agreements, general terms and conditions, data protection, IP and commercial due diligence.
Ensure that future changes and developments in legislation, regulations (in conjunction with the Compliance team), and guidelines.
Ensure that all aspects of legal risk across the business are identified and controlled such as the implementation of new projects, systems and procedures.
At least 8+ years of relevant PQE ideally within the the insurance industry.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the regulatory landscape in the UK.
Demonstrable project and transaction management skills.
Proven commercial skills and a willingness to add value to an in-house environment.
