We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full‑time hours for our NHS client based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short‑term contract.
Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality patient care, conduct comprehensive assessments, and develop individualised treatment plans as a consultant on the General Adult Psychiatry Ward. The role requires Section 12 and Approved Clinician (AC) approval, and involves maintaining compliance with all legal obligations under the Mental Health Act (MHA) and Ministry of Justice. You will assess patients under the MHA, make recommendations, and act as Responsible Clinician (RC).
Qualifications and Experience
* Full GMC licence to practice
* Section 12 approval
* Approved Clinician status
* Substantial experience in psychiatry, including working with people suffering from severe mental illness
