JOB DESCRIPTION:
CNC Setter, Operator, Turner - Machine tooling, CNC machining, manufacturing
WORKING HOURS:
40-hour week (rotating double day shift):
* Week 1, 3 & 5: Monday to Thursday 6:00 - 14:30 and Friday 6:00 - 12:00
* Week 2, 4 & 6: Monday to Thursday 13:00 - 23:00
This is a hands-on role involving machine setup, reading drawings, and adjusting equipment while checking. You will work in a medium to high volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Operating CNC lathes
* Maintaining product quality through first-off and sample preparation
* Operating CNC and manual metrology equipment
* Ensuring on-time adherence to work schedules
* Maintaining machinery condition through routine checks and cleaning
* Personal and operational safety
* Engaging in continuous improvement for safety, quality, and efficiency
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Candidates should have experience in CNC turning, setting, and operating machine tooling, along with GCSEs or equivalent in Maths, English, Engineering, or related qualifications. Attention to detail, high-quality focus, responsibility, and initiative are essential.
