You will need a recognised Joinery qualification and a willingness to share your knowledge. This role is integral to supporting rehabilitation and building skills that improve employability. Site Information HMP Prison Berwyn is a Category C prison in Wrexham County Borough, Wales. It accommodates a male population. It is the largest prison in the UK, opened in 2017, and is operated by His Majesty's Prison Service. The prisons aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe at all times. Skills, Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this role, you will need to: Hold a minimum L3 qualification in relevant, subject specific area (Joinery) Hold a minimum L3 teaching qualification, e.g. AET, PTTLS or equivalent (Desirable, but not essential) Hold at least a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy Hold, or commit to gain within 1 year, an appropriate Assessor qualification (TAQA 3, A1, or equivalent) Demonstrate an ability to speak fluent Welsh (Desirable) Demonstrate a good working knowledge of subject specific area (Joinery) The above criteria are listed as essential on the role profile.
