Our client is seeking a Semi‑Senior Accountant to join their growing team, supporting a varied portfolio of clients whilst developing your technical knowledge, client management skills and long‑term career within practice.
The Role
* Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients
* Producing and submitting VAT returns
* Preparing personal tax returns
* Bookkeeping and management accounts
* Supporting senior team members with client assignments
* Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
* Assisting with the development of trainee staff
About You
* A minimum of 2 years' experience within an accountancy practice
* AAT qualification or studying towards ACA / ACCA
* Strong accounts preparation and bookkeeping experience
* Knowledge of VAT and personal tax compliance
* Experience using software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
* Experience preparing management accounts or supporting junior team members would be advantageous
