About the role
Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust (DHC) values the contribution of the CYP Public Health Service 0 – 19 to improving outcomes for children, young people and families. The Health Visitor works within the 0 – 19 Children and Young Persons Public Health Service supporting the Healthy Child Programme.
Key responsibilities
* Partner with children, young people, families, Early Intervention Services, Schools, voluntary and community agencies and other health care providers.
* Provide services in response to identified needs, including safeguarding and support for children, young people and families.
* Deliver a high‑quality person‑centred approach considering safety, privacy and dignity.
* Plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.
* Work in partnership with other agencies to meet agreed standards, objectives and statutory requirements.
* Provide specialist advice and develop programmes for the 0–19 team and other professionals.
* Supervise, mentor, train and provide clinical support to students and practitioners.
* Provide line management and leadership within the 0–19 team.
Working location and hours
Year‑round post, 26 hours per week, base at Parkstone Health Centre, Mansfield Road, Poole.
