KEY CLIENT MANAGER
Rendall & Rittner • £Competitive, aligned to experience • 18month FTC •Home-based | London, Midlands & Manchester travel required
ROLE OVERVIEW
We need a Key Client Manager who can take ownership of a complex, high-value client relationship and lead a team of property managers to deliver against them.
You’ll act as the senior point of contact for key clients, building long-term partnerships, overseeing service delivery and leading your team to consistently meet and exceed agreed standards.
This is a senior role that sits at the intersection of client management, team leadership and operational oversight, requiring someone who can operate confidently across all three.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
This role requires someone who can manage complexity across client relationships, team performance and portfolio operations without losing sight of the detail that matters to clients.
You will be expected to set and monitor KPIs, hold the team accountable, manage client relationships proactively and resolve issues before they escalate.
You will be expected to lead from the front, spotting opportunities to add value for clients and drive continuous improvement across the team.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME
Most weeks, you’ll be:
5. Managing and developing relationships with key clients, attending meetings and responding to their needs proactively
6. Leading and supporting your property management team to deliver consistently against client commitments
7. Setting, monitoring and reporting on service level KPIs for each client
8. Overseeing budgets, financial forecasts and year-end processes across the portfolio
9. Ensuring Health & Safety compliance and operational standards across all client developments
You’ll be home-based with regular regional meetings, trusted to manage your time, priorities and client relationships effectively.
WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR

10. Has extensive experience in residential leasehold management and a strong track record with senior clients
11. Is confident leading a team and holding people accountable in a client-facing environment
12. Understands leasehold legislation, KPI management and financial reporting
13. Communicates clearly and professionally at Board level and across all stakeholders
14. Takes pride in service quality and the reputation of the company with every client interaction
EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS
15. Extensive residential leasehold property management experience, including complex major works
16. Strong knowledge of the Landlord & Tenant Act, RICS and ARMA guidelines and leasehold legislation
17. Previous managerial experience in the block management industry
18. Proven track record of building and managing senior client relationships
19. TPI / AssocRICS membership (or willingness to obtain within 12 months, fully funded)
