Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) - Upping Ward
We are looking for Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team on our Intensive Support Service, Upping Ward at Cygnet Hospital Beckton. You will work full-time, 38.5 hours a week, on a rota basis covering days and nights (shift times 7:30am to 8:00pm; 7:30pm to 8:00am).
Upping Ward is a 15-bed Intensive Support Service for women diagnosed with personality disorder and complex mental health needs. The service provides a robust care program for women exhibiting high-risk behaviors and difficulties engaging with therapeutic programs. Our goal is to meet their needs in a less restrictive setting, especially for those who have had previous inappropriate placements.

Cygnet Hospital Beckton is a specialist service for women, located in East London, with a good overall CQC rating. We offer comprehensive care across four specialist wards: Acute, PICU, Tier 4 Personality Disorder, and Complex Personality Disorder. Candidate requirements
* Current registered RMN with Pin Number
* Ability to maintain documentation and undertake audits
* Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and current nursing practices
* Commitment to patient recovery and risk management
* Compassion, resilience, and support for service user independence
Mandatory training, including restraint training, is required. Candidates should be able to deputise in a clinical lead role, have an interest in leadership, research, assessment, and psychological interventions such as DBT. Ward-specific experience, e.g., in Personality Disorder, is desirable.
