Salary: Starting at £54,793+, based on your experience.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a pivotal member of our team, you will:
* Lead the interface for BAE System DASS team activities, driving the introduction of a cutting-edge Electronic Warfare system.
* Engage with key stakeholders, both within BAE Systems and internationally, to ensure seamless programme delivery.
* Develop and maintain the development programme plan while supporting business management activities and cost challenges.
* Deepen your understanding of DASS (Typhoon and beyond) and its integration into the broader programme context.
* Assist the DASS engineering manager in addressing emergent technical issues and new requirements.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential:
* A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent experience in aircraft engineering or a related field.
* Proven ability to communicate complex data clearly to diverse stakeholders, from strategic overviews to technical specifics.
* A solid understanding of Defensive Aids Sub-system (DASS), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Sensors, along with their integration into weapon systems.
* Proactive problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues impacting programmes, escalating when necessary.
* Eligibility for clearance up to SECRET on UK national and multi-national programmes.

About the Typhoon DASS Team:
In this role, you will gain valuable insights into the Typhoon aircraft, Avionics, and Sensors. You’ll have the chance to lead the introduction of a new Electronic Warfare solution into the Typhoon DASS. Collaborate with a high-performing engineering team and engage with subject matter experts, both internally and externally, to enhance Typhoon DASS capabilities.
