Are you a compassionate person willing to make a difference in someone's life?We are looking for Support Workers to work in a rewarding role in Complex care. We are seeking a reliable open-minded individual to support our clients with complex care needs in a home-based environment in CHRISTCHURCH.
This role involves providing clinical support and daily routine assistance, including:
* Personal care (washing/bathing/showering/shaving/grooming/cleaning teeth)
* Toileting and all aspects of personal hygiene
* Hoisting, transfers, and turning
* Confidence in meal preparation
* Assisting with exercise and stretches
* Driving client to appointments and outings
* Be part of the home including household tasks and general companionship.
About You
* Previous experience in healthcare, with at least minimum of 3-6 months of professional healthcare experience doing complex cares or Level 3 or Level 4 NZQA or willingness to work towards
* Willing to work providing complex cares
* Preference with experience in bowel and catheter care
* Must have experience with hoist use and patient transfers
* Must hold a Full NZ Driver's License and have reliable transport
* Flexibility to work in and travel around Christchurch area
* Confident with driving a mobility van
* ABLE to do evening, night and weekend shifts
* Ability to do stretches and/or exercise
* A caring and patient personality with strong and excellent communication skills
* You are caring and sensitive to the needs of others
* You are culturally aware
* You are an active team player but also able to work independently
