Excited by the opportunity to lead a thriving Design Technology department and drive innovation in the curriculum?
We are recruiting on behalf of a successful and inclusive 11–16 secondary school in the Preston area for a Curriculum Leader of Design Technology to join the school from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position with a generous TLR of £5,835.
About the role:
The successful candidate will lead a dynamic and supportive Technology department, working to shape and deliver a curriculum that engages students and raises outcomes across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will have a key strategic role in raising standards, improving teaching practice, and developing a team of committed staff.
About You:
We are looking for a skilled and committed leader with the ability to:
Drive forward a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement
Deliver outstanding teaching and curriculum development in Design Technology
Analyse data to inform planning and implement effective intervention strategies
Effectively manage budgets and departmental resources
Demonstrate impact in raising pupil achievement and engagement
You must hold QTS and have a strong track record of classroom excellence and leadership within a Technology department.
