I’m working with a large, multi-site consumer business that’s hiring a Payroll Manager to lead their Payroll system. This is a fantastic opportunity for a people-focused leader who thrives on really having an impact and likes working with autonomy.
Responsibilities
* Managing the full internal payroll cycle, including data validation, calculations and payslip distribution
* Ensuring compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, National Minimum Wage, GDPR and other statutory requirements
* Maintaining accurate payroll records within payroll and HR systems
* Producing reports for HMRC, Gender Pay Gap reporting and monthly HR and finance insights
* Overseeing payroll systems to ensure optimal functionality and regulatory compliance
* Coordinating with HR colleagues on employee benefits including pensions, PMI and family-friendly benefits
* Acting as the main point of contact for payroll queries, communicating clearly and confidently with colleagues and managers
Qualifications
* Strong UK payroll knowledge with a deep understanding of legislation and compliance
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
* Confident using payroll systems and Excel
* Professional, approachable and trusted to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
