Electrical Manager Location: Norwich, Norfolk Salary: Competitive, based on experience Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week We are working on behalf of our client, a rapidly growing business within the renewable energy sector, who are seeking an Electrical Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering large-scale, sustainable energy projects and leading a dedicated electrical team. The Role Reporting into senior operations leadership, the Electrical Manager will take ownership of electrical design, compliance, project delivery, and team management. You will oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of commercial-scale Solar PV and battery storage systems, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Manage a team of engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors. Ensure the safe installation, testing, and commissioning of Solar PV and battery storage projects. Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to deliver projects on time. Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure compliance with H&S regulations. Liaise with DNOs, ICPs, and regulatory bodies for grid connections and compliance. Lead the electrical design process, ensuring compliance with BS 7671, G99, and IEC standards. Review electrical drawings, schematics, and system layouts. Carry out load assessments, cable sizing, protection design, and grid connection applications. Oversee O&M of installed assets and provide troubleshooting support. Review power system studies, including earthing, fault level analysis, and harmonics. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Proven experience in electrical management. Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, system integration, and UK regulations. Familiarity with grid connection processes (G99/G100) and DNO liaison. Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, PV*Sol, Amtech, or similar. Strong understanding of H&S standards, including CDM regulations and risk assessments. Relevant electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition (BS 7671) and C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing). Knowledge of Health and Safety. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
