Role Title: Lecturer in Technical Construction

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary scale: £33,596 - £51,932 Please note this salary will be pro rata and based on a salary assessment and relevant experience
Here at Coleg Cambria we are looking for a Lecturer in Technical Construction to join our Technical Construction team, this role will be based at our Bersham Road site.
Overview of Role
As a Lecturer you will teach and inspire our learners in delivering a range of subjects within the built environment. You will perform scheduled teaching, prepare learning materials, mark students’ work, and liaise with awarding bodies and exam invigilation as required. You will also provide educational guidance, support and counselling for all students whilst participating in the marketing, planning, assessment and evaluation of course provision.
You will also liaise with other tutors from other business areas with regard to resources, curriculum development, student reports and other related matters, whilst completing and producing the agreed deadlines documentation such as; registers, schemes of work, records of work, course review, course analysis documentation, student reports and absence reports.
With an awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching, you will have knowledge of a broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment and demonstrate and understanding of current developments within your own specialist area. You should be open and responsive to the needs of others and be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and new ideas.
Requirements
· Qualified to a least Level 3 in relevant specialist area
· You will ideally be a qualified Teacher and hold either a PGCE, Cert Ed or C&G 7407 or willing to work towards one of these
· Develop and use a range of learning and teaching techniques and prepare effective written and visual teaching materials
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong team player, displaying energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment
· Proficient in MS Office and ideally in Google applications and using the internet and intranet
