Mencap are seeking Relief Support Workers to join our incredible team in Hoyland. As a Relief Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will work with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their lives.
We support a young man with multiple and complex needs, who thrives when building strong relationships with staff. The person we support is non-verbal, requires personal care and moving and handling support, and needs assistance with all aspects of life, including health, wellbeing, and finance.
What we're looking for:
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
This role does not require a driver, but this would be preferable. Contract options include Relief. All our services are 24-hour care, with rotas prepared 4-6 weeks in advance to help you plan your personal and social life. Shifts typically run from 9am-3pm, 3pm-10pm, and sleep-in shifts.
