Join Essex Wildlife Trust as a Project Manager
Essex Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity, committed to protecting wildlife and inspiring a lifelong love of nature. We aim to protect and connect 30% of land and sea by 2030 and inspire 1 in 4 people in Essex to take action for wildlife.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead meaningful projects that deliver real impact. You will oversee two high-profile projects: delivering our 2030 vision at Thameside Nature Discovery Park and developing our Head Office and flagship reserve at Abbotts Hall. These initiatives contribute towards our bold goal of ensuring 30% of land and sea in Essex is actively managed for nature’s recovery and increasing public engagement with nature and climate action.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of strategic planning and operational delivery, working closely with cross-functional teams, funders, and stakeholders to meet milestones on time and within budget. Adaptability to changing priorities is essential.
This is a two-year fixed-term role, working 37.5 hours per week, with a starting salary of £35,148. We welcome applications from diverse sectors and transferable skills. There may be future opportunities beyond this contract, aligned with our Strategic Plan 2030.
To apply, complete the online application form on our website by 9am on Thursday, 9 May 2025. Interviews will be held on Monday, 19 May 2025, at Abbotts Hall (online options available). We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if a suitable candidate is found.
Our values are Impactful, Collaborative, United, and Proactive. We offer benefits including 26 days of annual leave (rising to 29), Bank Holidays, sick pay, an employee assistance programme, an 8% pension scheme, staff social days, a colleague nomination scheme, and discounts at our Nature Discovery Centres.
Essex Wildlife Trust is committed to diversity and inclusion. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds and are a Disability Confident employer, committed to accessible recruitment processes.
