Charity Jobs NI (part of the Happy Jobs group) is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organised, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator to join their LEQ team. About the Role: As a Local Environmental Quality Coordinator, you will coordinate and project manage environmental quality and certification programmes, working closely with the Local Environmental Quality Manager to ensure effective delivery, stakeholder engagement, and supervision of departmental officers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordination: Manage resources, including field officers, to deliver programme outputs within budget and deadlines.
2. Project Management: Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental initiatives.
3. Surveying and Certifications: Coordinate certification programmes like Blue Flag, Green Flag, and cleanliness surveys.
4. Community Engagement: Develop community participation, promote award programmes, and expand geographical coverage.
5. Communications: Respond to technical enquiries, represent the charity at events, and prepare content for platforms.
6. Research Support: Assist in research and policy analysis on environmental sustainability.
7. Authority and Decision-making: Manage stakeholder communications and assist in marketing initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential: Relevant qualification or 3 years' experience, including 1 year in surveying/auditing, 2 years in programme delivery, and 1 year supervising staff.
Desirable: Experience in data collection, analysis, reporting, voluntary sector, or local government roles.
Skills & Requirements:
* Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Full driving licence and transport access.
Knowledge & Understanding:
* Essential: Environmental issues.
* Desirable: Behaviour change principles.
Personal Qualities:
* Effective independent and team working abilities.
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Additional Requirements:
Occasional travel and flexibility for outside standard hours. Business hours: 8am-6pm, core hours 10am-4pm, Monday-Friday. Hybrid work (2 days in Belfast). Salary: £30,328. Contract: Permanent, subject to funding. Funded through the DAERA Environment Fund.
