Overview

Parenting Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Parenting Support Worker in children services.

The post is full time, based at Darby House, Lawn Central, Telford with some home working.


Role

The post holder will support parents and carers in developing positive parenting strategies, improving family relationships, and enhancing outcomes for children and young people. They will support the birth parents of children who are cared for, they will bridge the gap between the Local Authority and birth parents ensuring that they have the best possible relationships with their children and that these arrangements are revisited as a continuum.

Please note: posts working with children or vulnerable groups will be subject to an appropriate criminal records check. It is an offence to apply for a role that involves engaging in regulated activity with children and adults in vulnerable circumstances if you are barred from working with one or both of these groups.
