Job Title: Lead PE Teacher
Location: Belmont Secondary School, Rawtenstall, BB4 6RX
Salary: up to £35,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Due to growth in service, we are recruiting a Lead PE Teacher to join our team at Belmont Secondary School.
About The Role
As the Lead PE Teacher at Belmont School, you will be responsible for delivering inclusive, responsive, and innovative teaching and learning within the curriculum area of PE to both primary and secondary students. You will lead and develop the delivery of BTEC Sport to Key Stage 4 students, constantly striving to produce outstanding/good teaching and learning to ensure all learners succeed.
The successful post holder will work under the reasonable direction of the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, carrying out the professional duties of a schoolteacher as set out in the current school policies. They will teach in accordance with the ethos, organization, and policies of the school as a fully committed member of the teaching team.
You will have excellent subject knowledge and understanding of the PE curriculum, including BTEC Sport, ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated, and innovative lessons that meet the needs of all learners. Strong assessment and data analysis skills to track progress, identify gaps, and implement effective interventions are essential in this role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues are also required.
