Global Mobility Manager – Permanent

The Global Mobility team forms part of the firm’sTalent & Recruitment (resourcing)function andis responsible forenabling international working opportunities and supporting the movement of global talent across the GTIL member firm network. The team ensures that global mobility activity is delivered effectively, compliantly and in a way that enhances both business outcomes and employee experience.

As a Global Mobility Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and leading the firm’s global mobility offering. You will work in partnership with the business to design and deliver mobility solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities whilemaintaininga strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

A look into the role
As a Global Mobility Manager, your rolewill involve:


Strategic leadership and programme delivery:

Designs,leadsand continuously improves global mobility programmes that support businessobjectivesand sustainable organisational growth. Core elements of this deliverable are:

1. Leading the design and implementation of global mobility programmesfor theservice linesthat align with business strategy

2. Ensuring alignment of frameworks,messagingand processes across the organisation by working with internalteams to ensure reporting and complianceremainsaccurateand up to date

3. Providing guidance to support to outboundandinbound assignees, including management of channels and platforms that enable cross connection and community

4. Overseeing theinternal process and external supplier managementfor the renewal of visa sponsorship for the firm’s sponsored employees


Core service delivery and operational leadership:

Oversees and continuously improves the delivery of global mobility support, ensuring a high-quality,efficientand compliant service across all activity.

5. Providing oversightand managementof end-to-end global mobility activity, from recruitment campaigns through to assignment completion

6. SupportingGlobal Mobility colleagues with their operationaldelivery of the core elements of the service:international assignments, visa renewals,andassociatedsponsorship activity are delivered accurately andin line with deadlines

7. Conductingand managingthe firm’sconsultation process around client placements and secondments for specific employee types.

8. Reviewing and improving operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce risk and improve assigneeand sponsored employeeexperience

9. Working closely withthe firm’s immigration specialists to manage timelines, compliance and cost, providing direction,oversightand directionon complex cases

10. Collaborating withTalent & Recruitment,People Services and Security Vettingand/or other internal teamsto ensure seamless onboarding of international hires

Stakeholder engagement and business partnering:

Consistently engages withexternal suppliers andinternal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide commercially focused mobility solutions.

11. Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor on global mobility matters

12. Building relationships with counterparts in other GTILmember firms,collaboratingand providing guidance and specialist knowledge where global mobilityexperience is limited

13. Overseeing the production of regular reporting on global mobilityand immigrationactivity, providing insights to stakeholders

14. Proactivestakeholder and supplier management, including the provision ofclear communications on processes,time frames,costsandexpectations

15. Monitoring supplier performance,costsand service delivery to drive continuous improvement

16. Identifyingopportunities to improve processes, reduce costs and enhancethe international assignee and sponsored employeeexperience

Operational oversight and service excellence:

Provides oversight and direction to ensure a high-quality,efficientand compliant global mobility service.

17. Overseeing the delivery of global mobility activity(international assignees and sponsored employees), ensuring consistency,qualityand compliance

18. Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver asupportive andseamless assignee experience

19. Driving continuous improvement in processes, policies,strategyandcoreservice delivery

20. Ensuring alignment across all aspects of global mobility operations, including the monitoring andreporting of outcomes

Joining us as a Global Mobility Manager, theminimumcriteriayou’llneed is:

21. Significant experiencein Global Mobility, Immigration,Resourcingor a related People function, including experience withworking with specialists around the taxation requirements forinternational assignees.

22. Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders in a complex organisation

23. Strong knowledge ofUK immigration rules and procedurerelated to the usual employer visa routes(e.g. Skilled Worker, Global Business Mobility, EU Settled Status, Dependants, Youth Mobility etc.)
