Key Responsibilities As a Music Teacher, you will: • Deliver inspiring Music Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, focusing on KS5 to challenge and support students’ musical development. • Create and implement a rich, creative curriculum that incorporates performance, composition, music theory, and history, all while aligning with the school’s values. • Provide expert guidance in individual and group performances, helping students enhance their vocal and instrumental skills. • Collaborate with the Music Teacher department to maintain a dynamic, inclusive curriculum that fosters a love for music. • Support extracurricular music activities, including concerts, school music clubs, and ensembles, helping students showcase their talents outside the classroom. • For experienced teachers: Take on additional leadership or mentoring responsibilities within the department to guide the next generation of educators. What You’ll Need The ideal candidate will have: ✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Music or a related field. ✔️ For ECTs : A commitment to professional growth and a desire to develop within a supportive, faith-driven environment. ✔️ For Experienced Teachers : Proven experience teaching Music at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, particularly with KS5 students, and a track record of strong student outcomes. ✔️ A deep knowledge of music theory, performance, composition, and history. ✔️ A passion for inspiring students in both practical and theoretical aspects of music. ✔️ Creativity in lesson planning and an ability to make learning music enjoyable and challenging. ✔️ Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. ✔️ A willingness to support extracurricular music activities that encourage students' spiritual and artistic growth.
