Solar Installations Manager (Mechanical)
Location - UK Wide | Home Based with Site Visits
Salary - £50,000 to £60,000 + Vehicle
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Solar Installations Manager to support the delivery of commercial Solar PV projects across the UK.
This is a home based role with travel to live projects. The position focuses on managing Mechanical Leads and installation teams, carrying out quality inspections and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of workmanship, compliance and safety.
The Role
• Manage and support Mechanical Leads across multiple projects
• Carry out quality inspections and installation audits
• Ensure installations are completed in line with specifications and company standards
• Identify defects, non conformances and drive corrective actions
• Support planning, labour allocation and team performance
• Mentor and develop installation teams
• Work closely with Project Managers and operational teams
• Travel across projects throughout the UK
Requirements
• Proven Solar PV installation experience
• Previous management or supervisory experience within Solar PV projects
• Strong quality assurance and inspection background
• Experience managing installation teams across multiple projects
• Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements
• Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
• Mechanical qualification or trade background
• SMSTS or SSSTS
• Experience within commercial rooftop Solar PV projects
Package
• £50,000 to £60,000 depending on experience
• Company vehicle or allowance
• Home based role with UK wide travel
• Staying away allowance (£45 a night)

Candidates must have a proven Solar PV background alongside experience in team management, quality assurance and installation inspections
