We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Technician to join a local secondary school in Hull. This role provides essential support to students and teaching staff, ensuring practical food lessons run smoothly, safely, and effectively.
About the Role as a Food Technician:
* Prepare and maintain resources and ingredients for food lessons
* Ensure all equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and fully operational
* Support staff in practical demonstrations and student activities
* Monitor health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with school policies
* Assist students with practical skills, providing guidance and encouragement
We are looking for candidates who:
* Level 2 in food and catering / Food hygiene or a similar Food Qualification
* Have experience in food preparation, catering, or vocational food education
* Understand and follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures
* Are organised, reliable, and able to work independently
* Can support students effectively in a practical learning environment
* Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
* Are committed to helping young people develop skills, confidence, and independence
