Build Technician – Milton Keynes - Automotive/ EV/ eVTOL - £25k to £30k

Salary: £25,000 – £30,000
Working Arrangement: 5 days a week on site
Overview
We’re supporting one of the UK’s most exciting innovators in electric propulsion and eVTOL technologies, who are expanding their build and development team in Buckinghamshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Build Technician or recent engineering graduate (1–2 years’ experience) to join a world-class team working on next-generation EV powertrains and propulsion systems for the future of electric flight.

The Role
You’ll work closely with engineers and technicians to assemble, fit, and test prototype systems and subassemblies across both mechanical and electrical domains. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role within a dynamic R&D environment, where you’ll be directly contributing to prototype build, rig assembly, and vehicle integration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the build and assembly of EV powertrain and propulsion components.
* Assist in the installation and fitting of electrical and mechanical subassemblies.
* Follow engineering drawings, build manuals, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate builds.
* Help prepare components for testing and validation, including rig and prototype setups.
* Perform basic wiring, terminations, and harness routing under supervision.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safety-focused workshop environment.
* Work closely with engineers to identify and resolve build or integration issues.
* Support continuous improvement and prototype development activities.
Key Skills & Experience
* 1–2 years’ experience in a hands-on build, assembly, or technician role within automotive, EV, aerospace, or motorsport environments - graduates with relevant practical experience also encouraged to apply.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or wiring diagrams.
* Confident using hand tools, workshop equipment, and measurement tools.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude and strong communication skills.
* Understanding of HV safety practices beneficial (training provided if needed).
* Genuine interest in electric propulsion, EV systems, and eVTOL technology.
Eligibility
* British Citizenship is essential.
