Sanctuary Supported Living is recruiting for a Catering General Assistant for our Retirement Communities Service at Ness Court, Burwell. We specialise in delivering a wide range of personalised housing, care, and support services to help people live as independently as possible. We’re a national organisation, not-for-profit, and we focus on local needs by putting our customers at the heart of what we do.
Salary: £12.21 per hour. Location: Ness Court, Baker Drive, Burwell, CB25 0AD. Requisition: 225681.
Role summary
The role of Catering General Assistant will include:
* Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards
* Working with customers, families, advocates, and staff to ensure a high standard of services
* Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, communal areas, and customers’ flats
* Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
* Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
Skills and experiences
* Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
* Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment
* Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willing to work towards
* Good interpersonal and customer service skills
* A general understanding of health and safety in the work place
