Job Purpose
The Director of Professional Services Solutions Engineering will lead our PS Solutions Engineering organization globally, serving as a key bridge between sales and delivery teams. This strategic role involves driving solution design, technical scoping, and proposal development for new professional services engagements, supporting both prospects and existing clients. The ideal candidate articulates the value of our offerings, architects transformative solutions, and collaborates with sales to drive revenue while ensuring solutions are deliverable and profitable.
Main Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the global solutions engineering strategy, build and scale a pre-sales organization, develop standardized offerings, and represent the organization in strategic initiatives.
* Solution Design & Architecture: Lead design of complex solutions, establish frameworks, innovate approaches, and ensure technical viability.
* Proposal Development & Scoping: Oversee proposal creation, establish pricing and scope processes, and ensure proposal quality and profitability.
* Sales Enablement & Support: Partner with sales, deliver training, support client conversations, and participate in sales cycles.
* Team Development & Leadership: Build and mentor a global team, set performance metrics, and foster a culture of innovation.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with sales, delivery, product, and marketing teams to align strategies and offerings.
* Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, analyze market data, and identify new opportunities.
Requirements:
* Experience: 10+ years in professional services or related fields, 5+ years in leadership roles supporting large sales, building teams, and collaborating across functions.
* Skills & Competencies: Leadership, communication, solution design, strategic thinking, negotiation, analytical skills, problem-solving.
* Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or similar preferred. Relevant technical and sales certifications are advantageous.
* Travel: Willing to travel 30-50% domestically and internationally.
* Location: Flexible, preferably in major hubs in North America (ET) or Europe (GMT/CET).
