Responsibilities
* Provide process engineering support for large industrial projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex challenges.
* Prepare and review typical process plant documentation, including heat and mass balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), basis of design documents, process calculations, functional descriptions, data sheets, and cause-and-effect charts.
* Size and design process equipment and produce technical specifications for procurement.
* Deliver technical support during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), including international travel as needed.
* Liaise with clients throughout project phases—kick‑off, progress, and design reviews—to advance project goals.
* Support sales activities with process engineering expertise.
* Participate in design and safety reviews and implement recommended actions, including but not limited to HAZOP studies.
* Respond to engineering queries.
* Consider all project design development activities including multidisciplinary interface reviews, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.
* Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.
Qualifications
* Degree‑qualified Engineer, preferably in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experienced process engineer in regulated industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, or Petrochemical.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general IT applications.
* Demonstrated expertise in producing and reviewing a broad range of engineering documents—process designs, calculations, technical specifications—ensuring alignment with client requirements and comments.
* Confident in utilizing process simulation software to support detailed engineering analysis and validation.
* Experience leading or actively participating in HAZOP studies and applying process safety design principles to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop effective safety measures.
* Thorough knowledge of industry standards and specifications, combined with expertise in their practical interpretation and application.
* Adept at prioritizing tasks and producing quality work within tight timelines and project constraints.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
* Proven ability to mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth‑oriented environment.
* Prior experience in leadership or team supervision, combined with a commitment to continuous personal and professional growth.
* Preferably chartered or actively working toward IChemE chartership or equivalent professional accreditation.
* Proven experience in commissioning process plants, ensuring equipment and systems are installed, tested, and operational according to design specifications.
* Experience participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to verify that process equipment and systems meet design requirements prior to shipment.
* Knowledge of offshore water injection systems, membrane filtration, or mass transfer equipment design.
