Oxleas established a highly regarded musculoskeletal (MSK) service in partnership with King's College Hospital for Bexley ICB. We have extended this work through a new alliance partnership working with the ICB and local secondary care providers. This role aims to continue providing rapid triage, assessment, and treatment for Bexley residents with MSK conditions and rehabilitation needs, ensuring the right treatment is delivered at the right time and place.
The previous MSK service has received awards such as the Bexley CCG mystery shopper patient experience award for two consecutive years, the Bexley Care team of the year in 2017/18, and the Bexley team of the Quarter award in 2021.
We are seeking a motivated Band 5 Physiotherapist with excellent clinical skills to work within our First Line Management Service in Oxleas NHS, part of our Musculoskeletal pathway in Bexley. Our pathway facilitates a whole-system approach for patients referred for MSK management, enabling streamlined, expert management of conditions in the appropriate setting from the outset.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded and specialized team comprising orthopaedic, rheumatology, and pain consultants, podiatrists, ESP physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists. The ideal candidate will develop knowledge in areas such as rheumatology, pain management, spinal, upper limb, and lower limb conditions. High motivation and teamwork are essential qualities.
The successful applicant will work with a diverse patient population and interact with various stakeholders across primary and secondary care. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to optimal patient care are important.
The MSK Service offers a robust in-service training program and regular patient review sessions, supporting staff development.
