CMDP is looking to strengthen their Commissioning team with a MEICA Delivery Manager for our Southern Water Framework. MWH Treatment and Costain Group are part of the CMDP joint venture that will deliver a range of construction schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water’s water supply and wastewater treatment works within the South and Southeast regions. The Joint Venture has been set up specifically to execute the 5-year (2025 – 2030) AMP8 capital delivery framework. We will be delivering a programme of works up to £1bn over the 5-year period consisting of both heavy civil engineering and mechanical and electrical activities. MEICA Delivery Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that systems and components are designed, installed, tested, and verified to meet the project's requirements. This position bridges the gap between design, construction, and operational performance. LI-BM1 Responsibilities Some duties include: 1. Project Leader Act as the central figure coordinating the MEICA and Commissioning aspects of the project during the Pre-construction phases. Ensure alignment between design intent and commissioning goals, driving the project toward successful system handover. 2. Technical Reviewer Oversee and validate the design to ensure it meets the functional requirements, safety standards, and operational needs of water supply systems. Identify and resolve design inconsistencies that could affect commissioning outcomes. 3. Construction and Commissioning Strategist Develop a detailed commissioning strategy and plan Understand and collate Project and compliance risks. Develop Construction and Commissioning sequencing relaying the information to Project Managers and Planners. 4. Quality Assurance Advocate Champion quality assurance processes across design and commissioning phases to ensure systems meet regulatory and industry standards. 5. Coordinator and Facilitator Serve as the liaison between stakeholders, including the design team, contractors, suppliers, and the client for the project life cycle. Coordinate the integration of civil, mechanical, electrical, and control systems to ensure smooth delivery. 6. Problem Solver Proactively identify and address challenges in the design or commissioning process, mitigating risks to project timelines and outcomes. 7. Compliance Ensure compliance with relevant Statutory requirements, water industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety guidelines. Identify any deviations from the standards or technical variations. Verify that the design and commissioning processes align with legal and contractual obligations. 8. Safety Ensure that the project resources and competencies are reviewed ensuring that there is the appropriate level of Permit issuers in place. Any Specialist activities will need to be identified and escalated to the AE’s and SHEQ teams. 9. Training Identify competencies for key project players and understand using GAP analysis potential project specific training requirements.
