Totum Partners is delighted to be working with a leading law firm to recruit a Finance Assistant. This is a 12‑month FTC maternity cover position, hybrid with three days in the office and two days from home. Legal experience and legal billing within a law firm are essential for this role.

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for:
* Client and matter onboarding
* Preparing bills and client invoices
* Processing time and cost adjustments as requested by the lawyers
* Posting of client receipts
* Uploading and posting supplier invoices and payments
* Management of accounts payable, including professional disbursement balances
* All aspects of client money accounting, including posting receipts and payments against client matters and ensuring compliance with SRA rules
* Liaising with the Group Finance team to ensure consistency with processes and procedures
The ideal Finance Assistant will have:
* Experience of legal billing within a law firm
* Knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
